The Session You Can’t Miss at AMPLIFY 2022

AMPLIFY 2022 kicks off in Washington, D.C. on June 22, and we’re amped up to rejoin our association colleagues for what is sure to be an exciting two days of knowledge-sharing and networking.

We’re especially excited to share our secrets to growing engagement during our session with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) on opening day. Speakers Megan Kramer, senior content manager at GLC, and Laura Pemberton, NMSS associate vice president of content, will show attendees how to use digital tools like Google Search Console, Google Trends and AnswerThePublic.com to optimize content in their session, Reverse Publishing: Grow Engagement with a Digital-to-Print Strategy.

Basically, we repurposed one digital story in multiple different ways to reach audiences on every channel,” Kramer says.

Kramer and Pemberton will share a case study of the NMSS member publication, Momentum. Using web analytics, the society was able to target an old piece of content ripe for repurposing. Then, they planned a print feature that showcased the refreshed feature with custom illustrations. (Check out the digital version here.)

She hopes attendees will leave the session with these key takeaways:

  1. Reverse publishing is a low-cost way to experiment with topics digitally before committing to print, and digital findings can even inspire new ideas.
  2. There are free and easy-to-use tools to get started and help you find the trends and keywords that your audience cares the most about.
