5 Ways to Develop Audience Loyalty with Your ContentPosted By: Rene Ryan | Digital Marketing
Increasing search traffic and attracting new audiences are key for any successful content marketing program. With so many outlets and opportunities for audiences to consume content, developing a loyal and engaged audience is tougher than ever. Here are five ways to captivate your audience and keep them coming back while also reaching new demographics.
1. Create visual content—especially video.
Video content is the most valuable on the internet right now. Adding visual content, particularly video, will result in an immediate boost to your content’s SEO. Visuals are also great for brand recognition while helping your audience retain the information you’re sharing.
2. Include call-to-action buttons.
A call-to-action, or CTA, is necessary for every piece of content marketing your team creates and can have a positive effect on your conversion rates. Urge consumers to take immediate action after engaging with your content with buttons and links that allow them to subscribe to your newsletter, make an account on your site, download an e-book or whatever actions may be beneficial to your organization. Make sure that the CTA is a color that will stand out on the page and uses strong verbiage.
3. Strategize and create viral content.
Think about your organization, and consider your target audience. Once you understand your audience, come up with various ways to attract that demographic with a great hook. People are more likely to share content that they have an emotional connection with, so try to establish one. Well-developed video content will be most valuable, but visual aids like infographics and images will be useful as well.
4. Give away valuable, sharable content.
If it makes sense for your organization, a resource page on your website could be very useful for attracting people to your content hub. A resource page is dedicated to worthwhile materials and information that is concentrated on a specific topic. What you include on your resource page can vary from infographics that consumers can access and share freely to branded products that you’re selling.
5. Collaborate with influencers who connect with your audience.
Connect with influencers and change-makers in your industry. Collaboration can look like a guest blog post, being featured in a podcast, or simply sharing the content that you’ve already created. The right people will generate traffic to your content hub, attracting tons of new clients.
